Abandonment Notification
Races for Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 are abandoned for the day.  We were optimistic that the breeze would fill in sooner than expected, but that is not the case at this point and all indicators are that it will not fill in in time for us to complete Course #1 before the 4PM fixed time limit.  Prize giving will be moved to 13:30 at the MV Shipyard.

 

 

Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 will be postponed ashore. We will provide an update at 11:30 and at this time the earliest start will be 12:30. Pursuit times will be as originally published, but just substituting the hour (i.e. 12 to 10)

Due to the current forecast. The Herreshoff 12.5 vineyard haven fleets racing has been cancelled for the day.

Good afternoon all,
   This evenings Beach party will start at 17:30 at the Sail MV Boat House, 177 bearns road, Oak Bluffs. Bring Crew, family and friends, there will be plenty of food, drink and beach games available. Recommended donation of $35 a head.

Postponement will be lifted as of 12PM for classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and the Catboat Division.  First warning will be 1 hour later –  Classes 5 & 6 will be at 1PM and classes 4, 1, 2 and 3 will follow in that order.  Catboat warning will be at 2PM.

 

Vineyard Cup Competitors – Saturday racing for Classes 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 and the Cat Boat Division will be postponed ashore until further announcements.  We will provide an update at 10:30AM based on how the forecast thunderstorms are developing and racing will not start for at least 1 hour after the postponement is lifted.   

Based on the forecasts at this time, current thinking is that racing will not start before Noon, but we will provide more information in the 10:30 update.  

PRIZE GIVING NOTICE: Just a polite reminder that this evening prize giving will be held at the MV Shipyard from 5pm. Drinks and nibbles will be provided. We look forward to seeing you all there.
