Seafood Buffet and Auction

This year’s Seafood Buffet & Auction will be held on

Thursday, July 9, 2026 from 5:30 – 9:30 PM

at Tisbury Wharf (144 Beach Road, Vineyard Haven, MA)

The event’s setting showcases Vineyard Haven’s working harbor, and the event celebrates Sail MV’s ties with local businesses and the island’s maritime community. For the buffet dinner, we source our lobsters from the Fishermen’s Trust, many of whose members are graduates of Sail MV programs. Our island is utterly dependent on the ability to transport people and goods to and from the mainland via the waters that surround us. Helping young people to enter the maritime industry is essential to our future. This event brings Sail MV’s students and benefactors together to help preserve and protect our island’s maritime heritage.

Remember when you played with plastic boats on the beach and dreamed of sailing away over the horizon? Sail Martha’s Vineyard was founded in 1992 to help young islanders realize those dreams. Each year we teach around 400 kids how to pilot their own boats around Lagoon Pond. Sail MV’s Maritime Studies program at MVRHS helps students step into maritime careers, and the MVRHS sailing team has grown into a New England power on the water.

For adults, the Sail MV Rowing Club provides year-round rowing opportunities, and Sail MV’s Winter Lectures. bring an opportunity to learn and dine with friends of Sail MV. We have a small, dedicated staff that works year-round behind the scenes and we hire an additional 10-15 staff to teach our summer programs, in which we provide over $160,000 worth of scholarships every year so that Island kids can access our program for free. We couldn’t do it without you!
